Support for new GLTA tournaments
For 2010, the GLTA has assigned a budget for the development of new tennis tournaments in countries where gay and lesbian initiatives are not easily realized. Currently, preparations are being made to organize a GLTA tournament for the first time in Argentina, Thailand and Latvia. By January/February more details will be shared. The fact that these countries do not have a gay and lesbian tennis tournament, although they raised top tennis players and harbour a large gay and lesbian community, is at least suprising.
Smashing Valentine support the initiative taken by the GLTA to develop more new tournaments in countries with similar conditions. 2 EURO's of the registration fee of each participant will be donated to this cause. The benefits of the raffle will be added as well.

Smashing valentine is an indoor tennis tournament. Approx. 250 gay, lesbian, straight, bisexuals and transgender players from the Netherlands, Europa and abroad participate. The tournament is part of the international Gay and Lesbian Tennis Alliance tour and will be organized for the 6th time in 2010.
